A true classic. Produced in 1945, the Marlin Model 36RC chambered in 30-30 Winchester features a 20″ round tapered barrel with a crowned muzzle and Ballard type rifling. The furniture is made of American black walnut. The fully loaded tube magazine holds 6 cartridges plus one in the chamber. This timeless design can trace its lineage to the Model 1893.
Purchased from the family of a former Arizona Ranger that are related to western legend Buffalo Bill Cody and long-time residents of Bisbee, Arizona, this rifle undoubtedly served as a ranch rifle during its lifetime. Fortunately, it appears to have been well-maintained and shows below-average wear, beautiful walnut furniture and crisp rifling (see photo). Lever-action rifles are making a come-back and this could make a nice shooter or a fine addition to any collection.
